The Path To Leadership

A fifth-generation Kansan, James joined Black Hills Energy in May 2019 and oversees the organization’s public affairs for Arkansas, Colorado and Kansas. At Black Hills Energy, he manages customer communication, local government affairs, charitable giving and media relations.

In the community, James is currently board chair for his local American Red Cross and has served as president of the Public Relations Society of America, advisory member to the Kansas State University A.Q. Miller School of Journalism, and founder of Wichita Startup Week. He graduated from Kansas State University and received an MBA from Emporia State University.
